Nothing is not real
Why I can't sleep at night
So I was thinking about nothingness. I figure: as soon as you imagine it, it’s something. Totally elusive. There can never have been nothing, because as soon as you have it, it exists, it’s something. Even space, the void, is something. Hell, Nothing even has a Wikipedia article. It’s something. Space might be empty, but there are galaxies in it. It’s not empty, it’s just sparse.
I was hoping that I had a copy of Being and Nothingness on hand but I don’t, so I will probably buy it at some point. In the meantime, I’ve been meditating on oneness but it’s not helping with the insomnia.
This one looks promising: A Universe From Nothing
As a last resort, I might have to read another Dickens novel. That always gets me to sleep.
